This is a Y-DNA project for the surname Hannigan and spelling variants. Hannigan is a not-so-common Irish surname and may have originated with a small number of founders. The Y-signatures currently displayed in our Results table show the range of known origins for participating families.
All Hannigans are invited to participate and to learn what patterns of distribution and relatedness become evident accross Ireland.
