The purpose of the Hackworth project is to identify the common ancestors of Hackworths in the US and other countries and to determine which descendents belong to which early Hackworths. We also wish to determine the relationship of George Hackworth of Bedford Co VA, born in the early 1700's to the many current persons who claim descent. Another goal of this project is to determine if the Hackworths came from Ireland and perhaps earlier are of Norman descent.
