Understanding the Patriarch Page

How to read the Patriarchs Page pedigrees

The earliest known ancestor is on the first line of the pedigree, in gold text.

The pedigree provider is at the end of the first line of the pedigree, in black text.  To contact the provider, change the AT to @ and remove the spaces.

The number in red at the end of the pedigree is the kit number that correlates to the pedigree.

Pedigrees are posted, for the most part, in chronological order, according to the birthdate of the earliest known ancestor.

Use the scroll bar to the right of the box to scroll down to see all pedigrees.

How to Provide  your Pedigree for this Surname Project

If you ARE A MEMBER of this Surname DNA Project Project at Family Tree DNA, send your pedigree by EMAIL to jerald.gross@gmail.com.  The pedigree will then be posted on the Patriarchs Page by the Project’s Administrator.

If you ARE NOT A MEMBER of this Surname DNA Project Project at Family Tree DNA, send your pedigree by EMAIL to jerald.gross@gmail.com.  The pedigree will then be posted on the Patriarchs Page by the Project’s Administrator.

How to contact the person providing the pedigree

Contact email is shown at the end of the first line of the pedigree.

Remove spaces and change the AT in the email address when sending the email. The Participant’s code identity and/or kit number is shown in red on the last generation of the pedigree.

You can correlate this with the results for the kit on the Results Page. To view the Patriarch Page, follow this link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13Rk_QxxSjfhzlDOMaWdVEUfne8xph3-5Jlv6wHcdOQA/edit?usp=sharing
