The Grimaldi Project seeks to assist those with documented Grimaldi ancestry to build out their family trees and further their genealogy research, ideally with the help of genetic genealogy. Additionally, the project may contribute to the history and understanding of various Grimaldi lines. Membership is by request, and is limited to those who are either currently researching their Grimaldi lineage, and/or are willing to share their own Grimaldi genealogy and knowledge with members of the project. In your request, please clearly explain your patrilineal or matrilineal Grimaldi descent including relationship (i.e. maternal great grandmother) and the locality where your Grimaldi ancestors resided and when. Additionally, prospective members must have a completed FtDNA profile in good order, including, 1.) their earliest known ancestor of record, ideally including date, city, and country; 2.) ancestral surnames with locality, and 3.) an uploaded family tree.
