·        To identify common heritage in the different Gleave ancestral lines through DNA testing and genealogical research

·        To help members break through genealogical brick walls.

·        To discover the ancient origins of the Gleaves and our place on the tree of mankind

·        To test the hypothesis that all branches can be traced back to the Gleyve line which was established in High Legh ,Cheshire, England in the 13th century.
