If I keep hearing from many Gilmartins in different parts of the world I may end up just organizing them all - it is too soon to tell. Most appear to come from co Sligo, followed by co Leitrim and then co Mayo. The distribution pretty much follows the 1848 to 1864 Primary Valuation distribution (can be found at Irish Times web site) and the 1911 Irish census as far as percentages go.
