This project will form a platform for weeding out the various lines and myths related to the Fyrmin/Furman lineages. Few Furman Genealogies, to date, have successfully connected their present research with documented, but insufficient and incomplete, historical records related to John Furman of Watertown, Mass. Gaps in records from 1700 to 1800 make complete historical proof difficult to ascertain. Male lineage DNA will provide a mechanism for delineating myth from reality and closing gaps, where necessary.
