This project is to explore the genetic connections between participants with the surnames Flandreau, Flandrau, Flandro, Flandrow, Flandreaux, and Flatbush. In the United States, most (but not all) persons with these surnames are descendants of the Huguenot immigrant Jacques Flandreau, who came to New Rochelle, NY in the 1690's. The paper documentation of his descendants in the eighteenth century is spotty, leading to a need for additional data to help properly connect family lines.
