About us
The Fitch DNA project is set up to determine the origins and connections to Fitch men with different variations of the spelling. The project is open to both males and females with Fitch ancestry.
Fitch can be spelled a variety of ways. We also welcome those with any variation of the surname project members. We would like to see if there is any connections between the various spellings.
As our dna project grows the men who have tested with the Y DNA test will be grouped by Haplogroups with their matches.
MtDNA (mitocrondrial dna) passed from mother to daughter results will be displayed with the earliest known ancestor and kit number.
We have Fitch connections to Virginia, Georgia, Ohio, Louisiana, Alabama, New England. We will list earliest known ancestors as more testers join and specific Haplogroups on the Y.
