To gain a fuller understanding of genetic genealogy through the comparison of well-documented lineages and the results of the Family Finder and other DNA tests.  To provide an avenue for genetic study by a group of genealogists and experienced researchers whose genealogical reseach has indicated that some of them may be related by varying degrees.  One weakness noted in the typical Family Finder or other DNA tests outside of this project is that many of the matching individuals have done little or no traditional genealogical research so relationships can not be readily determined.  The membership of this project is limited to professional genealogists or very experienced researchers and their families.
