* One goal of this Y-DNA project is to identify how various FIRESTONES & FEUERSTEINS are related to each other and what their national origins are. * A special goal at this time is to identify the parents and national origin of Hans Feuerstein, a carpenter who died in Thal, now in Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France in about 1711. Hans' roots appear to be in Andelsbuch in the Bregenzer Wald, Bregenz Forest, in Austria. This family makes up a large percentage of American Firestones. * The original goal of this project was to see if all Feuersteins are descended from a common ancestor. * The project is open to all men with any variant of the name FIRESTONE/FEUERSTEIN.
