As of October 30, 2013, all members of the Feist Families Project report Baden, Germany as the location of their earliest known paternal ancestor. This subgroup shares a predicted Haplogroup R1a1a. One member has done SNP testing. His SNP testing is shown on the ISOGG 2013 Y-DNA Haplogroup R and R1a Subclades Tree below.  The SNP's were Z283+, Z282-, M458-, Z280-, Z284-, and L176.1-. This puts this group in the R1a1a1b1 Subclade. Further SNP testing should be done on this group to confirm these findings.

We will work to recruit other Feists in order to determine if other Haplogroups are represented in the Feist Family.

We will also work to find connections between these Feist Families.
