The families history started somewhere in the year 1400 in France at the village and river Lesturgie, next to St. Geniez-o-Merle, 20 miles of Argentat –Dordogne. The first members worked as judge and notary for the landlords of Merle and Sexcles, Monsieur Carbonnières. Many of the family members later lived in the villages Sexcles, LaCombe, Anglards, Rouffiac and the town Argentat.

At this moment there are 3 different family branches in Europe. Two families Lestourgie and Esturgie are living in France, the third family Estourgie in The Netherlands.
