Emert Surname Project

The Emert Surname Project is open to all bearers of the Emert surname or variations. It is especially important for those who trace their ancestry to Johann Philip Emert (Emmert) who came to the US about 1729 and settled in Upper Hanover Township, Pennsylvania. However, anyone with the Emert surname on either their paternal or maternal lines is encouraged to join. This includes those who came later to America than Johann Philip and those who may still be in Europe or elsewhere.
