Many Embl*s in my data base fall into 13 main family groups most with origins in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Lancashire, Norfolk, Somerset, Wiltshire, Yorkshire, Wales and the counties of what is now London. But there are also Emblems whose origin is undoubtedly in Norway.
Many of these groups appear to be of the same origin, others apparently not. DNA matching is an excellent way of being sure.
