Participation in the Elkins DNA Project is open to anyone, anywhere in the world who has the surname Elkins or one of its variants. The goal of the project include: (a) help participants solve longstanding genealogical problems and find new relationships with other Elkins lines, (b) determine which particular Elkins lines are closely related and which are not, (c) determine how many different common male ancestors are represented by the ELKINS surname, (d) are there geographical relationships that can be established?, (e) are all Elkins' from an ancestral country related, or are there many different families with the name Elkins?
