Results from a second EDENS line match perfectly with the EDEN line. There is no question that the two lines share a common male ancestor. The results for the 37 marker male DNA test are back from a male EDENS descendant line. He had and I have a 100% match which means there is a 97% chance that he and I share a common ancestor within 8 generations and a 99.99% chance we share a common ancestor within 20 generations. This descendant has a paper trail which links him to ISHAM EDENS(born 1805). This is the first time a branch from the EDENS from TN has been linked to Jonathan J Eden(1814-1892) who has a family history that includes TN, but does not establish it with any documentation.
A descendant of Jonathan Eden(1843-1917), JERRY DEAN EDEN, had a perfect 100% 37 marker DNA match with MICHAEL H EDEN(BORN 1945), a known descendant of Jonathan J Eden(1814-1892). This match proves both individuals share a common ancestor. The logical conclusion would indicate the link to be through Elias Eden(born 1800-1810) who would have been a brother to Jonathan Eden(1814-1892).
Conclusion from earliest DNA testing: The common ancestor MICHAEL HOWARD EDEN(born 1945) and CHRISTOPHER ROBERT EDEN(born 1979) were attempting to link themselves to was James Eden(born between 1780 and 1790), the suspected father of Jonathan J. Eden(1814-1892) and Wiley Eden(born 1820). James Eden(born between 1780-1790) is 6 generations away from Christopher Robert Eden. The Y DNA test results indicate there is a 90% chance that our common ancestor was no more than 8 generations away. Considering this test result along with documentation that indicates James Eden(born between 1780 and 1790) had sons born in years that Jonathan J Eden(1814-1892) and Wiley Eden(born 1820) were born, it is my conclusion that Jonathan J Eden and Wiley Eden were sons of James Eden(born between 1780 and 1790) and that MICHAEL HOWARD EDEN(born 1945) and CHRISTOPHER ROBERT EDEN(born 1970) are cousins.
Michael Howard Eden(born 1945) had a SNP test to confirm the haplogroup is E3b1. This lineage is found in eastern and northern Africa, the Near East, and Europe, and is estimated to have originated about 23,000 years ago.
