About us
The Dryden Family Project welcomes all who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and DNA testing. All variant spellings are welcome. The main Y-DNA subgroup of the Dryden Family is below U106/L48/L200/S21607/Y37778. The Y37778 grouping of SNPs also includes FT164578, FT88724 and FT88758 with several branches of Drydens below that. We've also discovered five other lineages with different subgroups.
In addition to our own surname, we have welcomed members of our extended DNA family that share the same haplogroup of S21607 that we do. Dating to around the 1st century AD, S21607 now includes over 35 different surnames from around the globe, mostly concentrated in North America, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
