The project aims to provide genetic confirmation for the results obtained by traditional genealogy, especially in tracking those branches that settled in the colonies.

Also, it is hoped that some lineages, for which the genealogical records are sparse, can be determined as 'related to Kidderminster' or to another 'original family'.
