About us
The primary focus of the project is to use BigY testing to identify specific family lines and branching.
The family DISBROW, DISBRO, DESBOROUGH has been well-documented since its earliest appearance in colonial New England. There has long been a tradition that the Disbrow family was descended from John Desborough, one of Oliver Cromwell's generals. The purpose of this study is twofold:
1. to examine the relationships between the various Disbrow families in the U.S., to determine whether they have a common ancestor.
2. to determine whether or not any of these branches share a common ancestor with General Desborough, associate and in-law of Oliver Cromwell.
