About us

Of all the Dalrymples who emigrated to America, one family is unique in its Y-DNA and that is the Dalrymple family of colonial New Jersey. All other Dalrymples in America share virtually the same Y-DNA - but not us! Our Dalrymple family emigrated from the Townland of Dunamoy, County Antrim, Ireland to the New Jersey Colony between 1684 and 1737. The Dalrymples of Stair in Scotland were active legally and as land owners (through their attorney) in New Jersey during this period and may have had some connection to our family.

We are searching for:

1. Male Dalrymples in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and

2. Male Dalrymples who descend from the Dalrymples of colonial New Jersey,

for
free Y-DNA testing in order to promote research on the Dalrymple family of colonial New Jersey, Northern Ireland, and Scotland.

Also looking for Walkers and Weirs whose Y-DNA matches that of our Dalrymples.
