Dallas Family Project

Dallas Family Connections and Descendants into the 21st Century
  • 62 members

About us

The Dallas Family DNA project began in late 2015. Our goal is to connect current Dallas families to historical Dallas lineages. The project hopes to provide DNA proof for the research work of the late James Dallas, author of "The History of the Family of Dallas And their Connections and Descendants from the Twelfth Century"—— and to identify and confirm Dallas descendants and connections from the 1800's into the 21st Century. Other major genealogies are listed on the project "Links" page to use as research sources.

Dallas was a small but independent Scottish clan with various affiliations to the Mackintoshes, Clan Chattan and in later times the lairds of Cawdor and Kilravock. You will also find Dallas connections with the Barclays, Dunbar, Rose and other prominent names throughout history. For more information refer to our projects 'Links'.

More Y-DNA testers are needed to trace and connect Dallas family pedigrees. Please share this project link with anyone who is interested in following or making Dallas family connections.
