Surnames involved: Crippen, Crippin, Grippen, Grippin. The two major goals of our study are to assist family researchers to connect to the Crippen family tree here in the US - and specifically to Thomas and Frances Crippen of New England. Given the era of their immigration, the paper trail to develop an ancestral chart can easily hit the proverbial brick wall.

But a larger, more global connection is also sought. We would like to establish the DNA connections to early Crippen lines in the UK and other European countries.
