COURCHESNE is a French Canadian name with a variety of origins and as many a 3 dit names in Canada. This project is designed to use DNA to help identify the various COURCHESNE lines. The first results have yielded an unusual outcome with a haplogroup assignment of O3 and a near match with a man in Mongolia. It is believed that the oldest ancestor of this individual is from France. We are anxious to receive additional test to confirm this result.
