About us
Welcome to the Corn-Chorn-Corn** Surname YDNA Project! The Project is open to persons who are direct paternal line descendants of men named Corn. (Or one of the many variations on that name.)
Our goal is to use genetic genealogy to find out more about our ancestors who were born within the last 800 to 1000 years.

If you have taken a Y-DNA test or manage someone else’s Y-DNA test we welcome you!
If you have received a Y-DNA haplogroup designation based on a Family Finder test, we welcome you, too! However, please consider also taking a Y-DNA test. A Y-DNA test will enable us to match your results with other those of other group members and display your information in our results page. Further, a Y-DNA test has the potential to connect you with fellow family researchers across the globe through FamilyTreeDNA.com.
When you apply to join, please provide a brief background on your paternal line. This information helps us to group testers by common ancestors and surname as well as by Y-DNA results. It will also help you to make connections within our community.
Surnames in Project: Chorn, Cohen, Cordner, Corn, Cornec, Cornejo, Cornillie, Cornn, Corns, Koren, Korenman (Kornman), Korn, Kornegay.
To JOIN, please fill out the application form telling us what you know about the Corn line you are researching. Specifically, the name of your earliest known Corn ancestor, dates for the ancestor, and his location. If you do not have this information, please explain why you feel that the Corn, Chorn, Corn** Project is appropriate for you.
