About us
The Congleton DNA project is intended to establish the genetic pedigree of those families with the Congleton surname. Congleton is an extremely rare surname that seems to originate in the Low Lands of Scotland and the northern counties of England. It is represented in North America by a limit number of families. As an added benefit, in addition to the line of descent, the test may be able to identify the geographical point of origin of the original immigrant.
Three tests are available, for 12, 25, 37 or 67 markers. The 67 maker test is the most conclusive, but it is also the most expensive. However, if you select a test with fewer markers, and work up to 67, the total cost will be more expensive than if you do the 67 marker test in the first place. Please select the test with the most markers your pocket book can afford.
