The Comer Family Project is open to all who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and DNA testing. All variant spellings are welcome. If your surname is missing and should be included, we'll be glad to add it. If you are a Comer (or have one of the affiliated surnames), please consider taking a Y-DNA test and joining this Comer surname project. We are looking for new participants. If you are new to Y-DNA testing or have questions, the project administrator will be happy to answer them. Please send him an e-mail. If you do decide to take the Y-DNA test and join the project, please test at 37 markers or higher. This is very important. Testing at 12 or 25 markers does not give sufficient data to be able to group with certainty.
