The purpose of this site is to help establish the various haplotypes of Cheshire men and then assist in determining which lineages an individual belongs to. All males whose surnames are Cheshire, Chesire, Chesser, Chessur, Chesher or any derivation are welcome to join this project. There are no geographic limits. Some of the Cheshire families remained in the UK while others immigrated to other countries. All are encouraged to join this project.
