About us
The first phase of testing revealed that three unconnected family members named Chapleo, Chaplow and Chappelow were closely related and belong to Haplogroup N. This genetic signature for the Y-chromosome is rare in the United Kingdom, the source of our families. Another haplotype, R1b1b2 is present in the family.
The three matching men share results that are unique and it appears that this family is not closely related to any other in the paternal line. There is some evidence of distant relations, but it is too early in the project to have confidence in those connections.
