To investigate whether the Cabot families in Europe and America share a common ancestor within historic time. The initial focus will be on English-speaking areas, where a considerable amount of conventional genealogy has been done, but it is hoped that the French Cabots of Languedoc, the Spanish Cabots of Catalonia and others will join to see if we share a common root.
