Members of the Bunker family come from England, Germany, Canada, India, New Zealand and Thailand. We hope to establish markers for all the different Bunker families and see if perhaps we all descend from a common ancestor. We have learned that the English Bunkers descend from at least two totally unrelated men. The Thai Bunkers (Chang & Eng, the original Siamese twins) adopted the name when they became citizens of the US. In this way we can assist those Bunkers who do not know their ancestry to determine where they came from.
