The Bullen/Boleyn Origins Project intends to answer questions regarding the origins of the Bullen family/Boleyn and how the major branches (Cornish/Norfolk/Irish) came into existence, before spreading out over the globe. As part of this it hopes to either either prove or refute the long-held theory that all Bullens (barring non marital incidents) have patrilineal descent from Simon, Faramus and Eustance de Bolougne who arrived in England in the 12th century.
