1) To identify and verify through Y-chromosome DNA all male descendants of Mathias Bruch, who was born circa 1670 in Germany, but we so far do not know where in Germany this family originated. The American descendants of this Bruch family originally settled in Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

2) To identify and verify through Y-chromosome DNA all Bruchs in the US and elsewhere in the world, especially Germany, determine who of those share a common ancestor, and establish subgroups on our website for each separate and distinct family.
