This YDNA surname group seeks to assist individuals with Braxton, Brackstone, Blackston, Blackstone, and Blaxton ancestry to learn more about this part of their family tree. At present, the project is a YDNA project and consists of males whose surnames are Braxton (or simlar). While testing is encouraged of males with a Braxton (or similar) surname, the project administrator welcomes individuals to participate in this project who have Braxton ancestry but not in the patrilineal line. Males in the eastern North Carolina area (particularly Pitt County) are particularly invited to write to Linda Horton at lrhorton@comcast.net to discuss participation in this project including possible financial contribution to YDNA testing.
