December 28, 2006: Preliminary link found between the descendants of Matthias Brandenburg of Kentucky and William Henry Brandenburg of Maryland. New member Robert Brandenburg (of the lineage of William Henry Brandenburg) is found to have eleven out of twelve marker match with J. D. Brandenburg, Bill Brandenburg, Sidney Ashley Brandenburg, and W. C. Sanders (all from the lineage of Matthias Brandenburg).
December 23, 2006: New member Burnell Brandeberry is found to have exact twelve marker matches with both Max Brandeberry and Johnnie Micheal Brandenburg. This is further evidence of the relationship between the descendants of Alexander Brandenburg and John Martin Brandenburg.
October 27, 2006: An exact match on first twelve markers found between W. C. Sanders and Sidney Ashley Brandenburg.
August 29, 2006: Genetic distance of two found on 37 markers for J. D. Brandenburg and W. C. Sanders.
August 25, 2006: An exact match on first twelve markers found between M. Brandeberry and J. M. Brandenburg. A relationship is thus established between the descendants of Albrich Alexander Brandenburg (forefather of the Brandeberry family) and Johann Martin Brandenburg of South Carolina.
August 12, 2006: Additional thirteen markers show a genetic distance of only one between Project members J. D. Brandenburg and W. C. Sanders.
July 23, 2006: DNA helped prove that W. C. Sanders is a patrilineal descendant of Samuel Brandenburg (son of Matthias Brandenburg of Kentucky).
May 23, 2006: An exact match found between a new member, W. C. Sanders, and two existing Project members, B. Brandenburg and J. D. Brandenburg.
April 4, 2006: An exact match found between descendants of two different sons of Matthias Brandenburg of Kentucky (d. 1806).
