About us
The Bootle Y-DNA Project research question is to uncover the surname’s origins through scientific analysis. By examining the Y chromosome, which is passed down the male line, we hope to determine the geographic and temporal patterns of the Bootle surname. This project complements the Bowdle One Name Study by providing genetic evidence to support traditional genealogical research.
