Many Bone men in America are descended from William Bone who emigrated from Northern Ireland to Pennsylvania in 1692.  There may well be other Bone lines in America and elsewhere.  Some Bone families have not yet been connected to any of the known lines. It is the objective of the Bone DNA Project to aid genealogical researchers in connecting the various Bone families.  As such, Bone males of known ancestry, as well as unknown, are encouraged to participate in order to build a database that is useful to many researchers.
