The Bolling Family Association invited all males with the surname Bolling or variant spellings to test your Y DNA through our project. We are attempting to identify and delineate the various Bolling (Boling, Bowling, Bollen, Bolding, Bouldin, Bolen, Boland, etc) immigrants to America by using Y-chromosome DNA testing to identify their progeny. Y-DNA passes from father to son; women do not have Y-chromosomes, so they are ineligible for the project, though they are invited to sponsor a male Boling Y tester to be able to participate. The Bolling Project does not use autosomal DNA, so those who have only tested Family Finder or transferred autosomal results are also not eligible for membership unless they sponsor a qualified Y tester.
