The Blo(o)r(e) Society is a One-Name Study Group for people with Bloors, Bloores or Blores in their family tree, and we are beginning to believe that some Blewers and Blowers may be involved too. We have identified and documented over 100 Blo(o)r(e) family trees and are hoping to be able to use Y-chromosome testing to confirm, or disprove, our suspicion that at least some of these trees have common origins, or are linked more recently. Participating is an opportunity to uncover information not provided in the paper records, which will help with your family history research. We will also discover which family trees are related. As the project progresses, the results for the various family trees will provide information about the evolution of the surname.
