This project is for African Americans whose paternal or maternal ancestry can be traced to Webster or Bossier Parish during or after slavery. This project was founded on behalf of the Devereaux lineage in these parishes but is open to other surnames with ties to this region of north Louisiana.We hope to encourage genealogical research in and around Webster Parish.
