Begun in the winter of 2003 to improve our tools of research. Like other researchers, we were hampered by a paper trail that had grown dim with age, or one that never existed, therefore, dna comparision seemed the next logical step. To justify asking men to purchase a dna test kit with nothing but the promise of identifying others who share a genetic link takes some faith in the results. My research into FTDNA told me that this would work. My brother kindly volunteered to take this chance along with me and ordered a kit. One by one other men took the gamble and joined; their results have proven my faith in this project as we can augment the paper trail with genetic proof.
