The main goals of this surname project are to:
1. Identify males who correspond to Bindon (and variations) families previously researched in order to validate the paper records and family trees that have been constructed.
2. Utilize Y STR and SNP genetic tests to discover which branches are connected to each other, as paper records for this area do not exist for most parishes before the late 17th century.
3. Discover whether the Bindon families are named for locations in the area, or whether they share a common male ancestor.
