This Project is open to males (YDNA) and females (mtDNA) who have been tested at Family Tree DNA (including iGENEA and National Geographic's Genographic Project) and have a tradition and/or documentation placing their Jewish ancestors in Bessarabia; a region that included Moldova, part of Romania and part of Ukraine. The goals of the project are: To promote discussion and exchange of information among the descendants of those who came from Jewish Bessarabia. To help identify relationships within the group based upon DNA and documentation.
