We wish to understand how the Beatty families of the world are related. Beatty is a moderately uncommon name such that it is reasonable to hope to understand the relations of a sizable fraction. Many of the Beattys in America arrived as part of the Scots-Irish migration. Beatty-2000 Project is an intensive effort to answer some of the questions by searching historical records. The Beatty Surname Project seeks to further this effort by analyzing individual Haplotypes and attempting to identify clusters of members and the expected relation of these members and clusters.
