Bartlebaugh Purtlebaugh and Puterbaugh Buterbaugh Project objectives
1. Are the Bartlebaughs and Purtlebaughs born in Virginia in the 1700s from the same family?
2. Are George, John and Philip brothers or cousins?
3. Is Bartlebaugh the correct spelling of the name they were born with or changed?
4. Are there others out there that would be family of this early group but with a different surname? Especially one like Butterbaugh or Puterbaugh. George Puterbaugh was a step-son and may have been a Jung.
5. Now we have a Puterbaugh line that does not match the Puterbaugh line from Md of George and John Peter. Need to see a match for him to be sure we have an unrelated line with the other Puterbaughs.
