Several years of researching the roots of the BARNER surname has determined that there are approximately 15 different family's of BARNER's that emmigrated to the United States and settled in various regions of the country. Large gedcoms exist for what I refer to, for lack of a better name, as the Adam Barner Family of Pennsylvania, New York Barners, Virginia Barners, Texas Barners, Ohio Barners, Missouri Barners, African American Barners, Nebraska Barners, and several smaller groupings. A large gedcom of VON BARNERS from Germany for the years 1250 - 1900 also exists.
