Al Afalig is a settled clan consisting of many (≈50) sub-branches each with their own independent surnames pertaining to ancestors who lived about 100 - 350 years ago. They share a common heritage & genealogy of Qahtani origin. Their historical main base is AlKhabra town in AlQassem but different branches inhibit other towns -- particularly in AlQassem & AlAhsaa regions. Today they are spread around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
