The Abernathy Project is intended to delineate the many world-wide family lineages of the most common surnames (Abernethy, Abernathy, Bernethy, and all variations); it is open to all who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of pedigree information and dna testing. All variant spellings are welcome; all who are very very close matches at extended Y-DNA tests are also included, regardless of current surname, especially adoptees.
