Like any FTDNA project, this project has well defined goals. The objectives of this project are listed below: -

-Identify related individuals and group of people 
-Prove or disprove theories and myths regarding ancestors of Abdalis/Pushtuns/Pathans and establish their origin
-Establish the validity of Historical data on Family tree
-Determine the route of migration from ancestral lands to present location
-To help in the ongoing research in genealogy and fill in the gaps as much as possible
