There are many families with the surname Neiman/Neyman/Naiman/Niman/Neumann. We know from traditional genealogical research that many families with this surname are related.
There is one cluster of Neiman families that had roots in the Telsiai district of Lithuania and a number from the shtetl of Pikeliai. As an example of how far people dispersed geographically, descendents of the Neimans from Pikeliai are scattered around the globe in places as far flung at Sweden, the USA, Israel, and South Africa.
